At its core, it is the belief of Dragons Dance that the most impactful art is made by treating artists well along the way.
Dragons Dance is a contemporary dance company founded by Erin Yen in 2020. Dragons Dance draws from Yen’s extensive contemporary dance training and unique use of Laban Analysis in choreography. Since its inception, the company has performed as a resident artist at venues throughout the Bay Area, shares work online via dance film, and provides spaces for artists to co-collaborate and create community.

About Founder and Artistic Director Erin C. Yen
Erin Chih-Fang Yen is a mixed-race professional dancer and choreographer currently residing in San Mateo, CA. Erin holds a BFA in Dance from the Ohio State University. She is fluent in Laban Movement Analysis, and she was the first to Labanotate work from acclaimed choreographer Doug Varone. Erin has additionally performed works by artists such as Ohad Naharin and Bebe Miller, and she has danced with Alvin Ailey and BalletMet. Erin is the founder of Dragons Dance 501c3.
